WHAT IS INTERNAL MEDICINE?

Internal Medicine is the specialty dealing with the medical problems of adults. We do not care for children under the age of 16. For teenagers and adults, we serve as the primary care physician–the one to contact first for any medical concerns. In addition to caring for routine problems such as ear infections, colds, rashes, headaches, etc. in the office, we also have the expertise to deal with such complicated illnesses as heart attacks, strokes, and diabetes.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION?

Our office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday

We do not take patient calls from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

DO WE ACCEPT NEW PATIENTS?

Yes! We accept new patients into the practice. We require new patients to have a complete examination at their initial visit. This helps us to know you as a person, and gives us a more thorough knowledge of your medical condition. We as lo do not perform physical exams on the initial visit, we need to establish the patient first before performing all exams that are routinely done in a physical exam, thereafter yearly annual exams are performed. We recently added a provider to our practice so we can schedule your new patient visit sooner. We are contracted with several insurance companies, it is your responsibility to make sure that our provider is in your plan and if you are in an HMO plan which requires an assigned primary care provider, make sure this is done before your scheduled appointment. (Please note some plans take longer than others for this change to take effect). It is also your responsibility to know your insurance benefits.

DO YOU MAKE HOUSE CALLS?

No we do not, patients too sick to come to the office are usually sick enough to warrant evaluation in a hospital setting where laboratory and x-ray studies may be obtained promptly.

WHAT HEALTH INSURANCE PLANS DO YOU TAKE?

We take most health plans including but not limited to Medicare, BCBS, Cigna, United Health Care, BCBS Advantage, PHCS, Humana, Aetna, Assurant Health, Banner, Health Net, AARP, Tricare, AHCCCS (not all plans). They do change from time to time so to get the most updated information please call our office at (623) 546-0007.

DO YOU TREAT CHRONIC PAIN MANAGEMENT?

No we do not. We feel those patients can receive the best quality care at a pain management clinic and we offer references to such facilities. Most other questions can be answered in our practice policy section; we encourage everyone to review our policies.
